Description
The NHE310G grounding clamps are non-electrical devices with documentation reserved by GNV, a classification and certification company.
These clamps are designed and audited in accordance with the ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU, where their name comes from EXplosive Atmospheres.
The models sold by New Horizon adopt a universal flameproof model, with Ex II 2 G T6 marking (according to EN13463-1:2009).
- Ex: Designed for use in explosive atmospheres, according to ATEX standards;
- II: Designed for use in IIB explosive atmospheres (not underground);
- 2: Protected against ignition risks in normal operation, where a gas is likely to occur under normal conditions;
- G: Refers to gases and vapors (not protected against explosive dusts);
- T6: Temperature class, i.e., for this equipment, it cannot exceed 60°C in environments with normal operation; the maximum surface temperature is 61.1°C and must not exceed 85°C.
They are widely found in petrochemical, pharmaceutical or coating industries. When used with spiral cables or stainless steel wires (SS wires), they discharge static electricity generated during the transportation of combustible and explosive liquids.
They are highly recommended, but not limited to, the following situations:
- Loading tanker trucks and rail loading;
- Equipotential connection of loading arms or oil pipelines;
Transfer of drums containing raw material.
